Rear View

When I had first started this project I had a different idea in mind until last night. I was parking my car in the garage when something occurred to me. I thought it would be so weird if I could see the whole galaxy in my rear view mirror. I thought it would be something different and out of the blue so I decided to continue this idea.

Surreal Photo Part 1

I have a had a couple different ideas for my surreal project. One my best ideas have been to have a photograph of myself sitting on a chair and watching TV in my house. In the TV I would not be watching anything but a reflection of myself. I want to do this because I once had a dream similar to this.

Artist name: ARNO RAFAEL MINKKINEN

Title: unknown

Date: 4/15/2013

Description: Arno uses his own body in this picture. It’s a reflection photo. His hand is reflecting off the water. He also used the black and white filter in this photo.

Analysis: This picture is vertical. The background is blurred. The main focus is the hand and the pen.
Interpretation: I don’t know if this picture has a set meaning to it. I think the Arno is trying to show that water can be used as a mirror. To show a reflection image.

Judgment: I think this is a very successful piece. I really like the concept. I also really like the whole theme of this image.

Ronen Goldman is an artist and Conceptual Photographer. He is from the city of city of Tel Aviv, Israel. He is specializing in creating "Photo-Dreams".

Artist name: Ronen Goldman
Title: unknown
Date: 4/15/2013
Description: The stairs are upside down. It’s like a maze or a puzzle that these two people are stuck in. the green bag is the only thing being balanced right.
Analysis: This picture is vertical. The stairs are the wrong way. This picture defies the laws of gravity.
Interpretation: I can’t understand what this picture means.
Judgment: I like this picture because of all the craziness going on in the picture. I like how the guy is going upwards and the girl is going downwards. All in all I thought it was a nice concept.

These are two completely different works of art. There artist are very different as well. It is hard to compare the two because they both have two completely different concepts. It would be really hard to choose one but if I had to I would pick Arno’s work. I like the whole idea in general of his work. I feel like his work has a little more life in it.

Photo Walk 3

"Photo Walk"                  Tiyank 2013

This was my third and most favorite photo walk with my class. I really liked this picture because this is something I would have never noticed if it wasn’t for the photo walk.
